Lyrics
The world's spinning fast, a global tribe torn Waiting for wisdom since the day we were born Everyone ages, the years take their toll But not everyone listens to the voice of the soul We see broken systems, the shadows of fear But the path of the elder is drawing us near Oh Friend, we are waking the sage in the heart Turning our wounds into beautiful art Thinking of children seven lifetimes away Becoming the elders the world needs today Letting the little self softly release To guide the whole world toward wisdom and peace The obstacles come not to break us in two But to shatter the ego and let the light through To find the deep self that was planted before And open the heavy, initiatory door It's the alchemy made of the tears we have cried Drawing deep knowledge from the spirit inside What we keep, what we lose, what we let slip away Is the magic that turns our dark midnight to day Like the tribes who awaken the youth to the truth The elder was hiding right there in our youth! Oh Friend, we are waking the sage in the heart Turning our wounds into beautiful art Thinking of children seven lifetimes away Becoming the elders the world needs today Letting the little self softly release To guide the whole world toward wisdom and peace Growing elder, not just older Growing wiser, growing bolder Thank you, Friend, for walking this road Sharing the beauty, and lightening the load
